I think I'll be OK, I think so, with people saying "lay" when they mean "lie," "unchartered" when they mean "uncharted," "irregardless" etc. And pronouncing it ECT. I mean I think so, I think I can dodge an aneurysm, though the left side of my head is bulging ominously. Meditation, perhaps. A mantra. "Language is our greatest gift--don't drag it through the mud. You heathens." OK, chanting it now. I'm trying.
